TH BIG MOVE
Since 2001 we have used Colorado as our base for ministry functioning as Regional Reprsentatives in the Rocky Mountain region for NTM. A couple of years ago we expanded our ministry to a general PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT definition. This opened up more areas of ministry that were not necessarily regional. For the last 7 years Judith has been going to Arizona to care for her mother with dementia during January thru March. David would often come to stay some and do some ministry contacts while there. However, these were temporary as our main ministry was back in Colorado. This last spring Judith's mother had a stroke leaving her needing 24 hr care. She no longer can come to her Arizona home from Canada. Judith's sister, Marsha, has full-time care responsibility for Mom, plus running a ranch there in Canada. Derrick and Meggin moved to Canada for 6 months this last year to help Marsha out with things. In the fall they accepted a position on the pastoral staff at a church in Indiana. This created a need for help for Marsha which we felt strongly that we should address personally. Considering ALL options, the Lord brought to mind the idea of us living in Mom's place in AZ and flying to Alberta from there. Research revealed that flights form Pheonix to Calgary are more than 1/2 the cost of flying from Denver. NTM leaders felt our ministry definition would be served very well in Arizona as in Colorado and were in favor of our move. SO, January 5 we moved to Arizona after liguidating our rented home in Colorado. It was not an easy move but a right one. The only main change to our ministry is which airport we fly out of. Of course, we now have the large duty of getting acquainted with the christian leaders and churches in the greater Phenix area.
